Medilodge Group Hosts Senior Prom Event
National Nursing Home Week was celebrated May 10-17, 2008; the week was designated to honor nursing home
residents, staff and families. The theme of the week's events was "Love
is Ageless".
The MediLodge Group takes great pride in creating exciting events to
continue to enhance their residents' lives.and promote community
awareness. In keeping with their commitment to excellence, the
MediLodge Group hosted their seventh annual "Senior Prom" on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Andiamo in Warren, Michigan. After the family-style
meal was served, the king and queen were announced. Jane McGrickin of
MediLodge of Sterling Heights and Heinrich Ermel of MediLodge of Taylor
presided over the rest of the event. The oldest participant this year
was Dorothy Snoad of MediLodge of Rochester Hills---Dorothy never left
the dance floor all afternoon---she is 101 years old.
The theme of the event was "Young at Heart". This year the residents,
staff and family members danced to the sounds of The Contours.
Attending the afternoon dinner/dance were over 475 residents, staff,
family members and dignitaries representing the 13 nursing and 1
assisted living facilities that the Medilodge group manages.
